May is Small Business Month

Every May, Small Business Month is dedicated to honoring small businesses, recognizing their dedication, community contributions, and relentless hard work. 

Small businesses play a crucial role in the United States' economy. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy, there are 36.2 million small businesses in the United States. That accounts for 99.9 percent of all U.S. businesses.¹

That's 62.3 million employees, making up 45.9 percent of the U.S. workforce.¹

As you can see, there's nothing "small" about small businesses. These enterprises, often overlooked, are the backbone of the U.S. economy and the unsung champions of the American Dream.
